Certificate of Deposit

A Certificate of Deposit, often known as a “CD,” is a dividend-bearing savings account that provides members with a fixed interest rate for a set term period of time, ranging from a few months to several years. The account must remain untouched for the entirety of the term, or it risks penalty fees or lost interest. CDs usually have higher interest rates than other savings accounts.
